Posted - 06 Feb 2018 : 08:30:09 Good day people Can anyone help or advise please? I've been looking for the door seals at the top the "A" posts of a Series V Rapier. Part numbers are; 2227996 Door seal o/s (r.h.) Screen pillar A post outer 2227997 """""""" n/s (l.h.) """""""""""""B"""""""""""" They look a most peculiar section, Each one is only around 18 inches long. I failed to find anything similar, so wonder if anybody can offer any ideas of alternatives?

Posted - 12 Feb 2018 : 19:19:58 I received a reply from Baines regarding some extrusions to make up the door seal for the top half of my Series 5. Minimum order is 5metres, plus VAT and delivery! Unless I can find four more people interested in sharing an order, I'll probably not bother and wait until I find a supplier at a jumble or similar.

Posted - 11 Feb 2018 : 23:52:57 Same for each campervan I've imported. Much easier when we had the helpful local DVLA offices. Good luck.

Posted - 11 Feb 2018 : 10:47:26 The DVLA will allocate the original reg.number AUE717B. The re registration process is a bit of a pain.I need to have MOT first so insurance on the chassis number is required to go to MOT station, the MOT will be issued on chassis number, get V5 with original number and then have the MOT and insurance changed. Posted - 06 Feb 2018 : 20:16:36 Hi Jim, Check the posts for this on 21/2/15 in parts wanted. I've not had chance to check my parts book but if it's the seal for the door to A pillar abutment the above posts may be useful. Myself and others had quite a discussion about the possible solution. I made up a functional seal using two sections out of the Baines range. The posts give the part numbers etc. All the best. John |
