Anyone know of a gearbox, non overdrive, for a series car? Only need parts really but would take whole box. |

I have one from a V, but it is too good to split up for parts really: may also have one from a IIIA, but condition not known. I'm not sure if there is any difference?
You can p.m. me if you like. Guess it depends what 'part of the world' you are in for collection/delivery if you were to buy - I'm down south. G. |

Managed to get a four sync. box for the car. Will be better for rally use than the three sync. box. all we have to do now is fit it !! |

The other thing you have to do is to recalibrate the speedo!

Glad to hear you are sorted: would have been happy to pallet one up of mine if you'd not got hold of one more locally :-). Yes; never thought about the speedo, but guess internal ratios are different. Cheers. G. |

Our speedo is a bit erratic anyway, you have to take an average between the speeds show. Being a rally car however, we do have a GPS speedo which is visible for both the nav. and driver so we shall soon see how far out it is!! Thanks again for the offer of the gearbox. Managed to find one in Ripon, so only 20 miles down the road. Will be checking the clutch while the box is out and replacing the rear core plugs, just in case. Anyone know where to get a clutch plate if needed?? |
