As I have sort of hijacked another thread I thought I would start another.

I am just Starting the restoration of my first car which I bought in 1980.

Although the car is currectly about 170 miles from me residing at my mothers house I do have the original engine with me in Devon and will be refurbishing that as a starting point. I had the crank tuffrided back in the 80s so that shouldn't need anything doing to it but as the engine is seized due to having not been run since 1994 who knows.

Please be aware that I intend to edit this first post adding some pictures of the engine bits before any work is carried out.

Having rebuilt this engine before I remember what the unique parts are and will run through the technical details of the Holbay engine. There does seem to be an awful lot of disinformation out there for the avid web surfer.......
