Thought it might be interesting to see what other cars us rapier fans spend our hard earned on.

Steve has already shown us his rather tasty Audi;

And here's my 1998 Mk2 MR2 GT (revision 5)

What else have we got amongst us???

Where are you based?
There are only 10 of this model left its an anti skid model it had an early form of abs on it
When i first brought it back it was pretty much breaking in half as the inner and outer cills were completely rotten. Most people would have just scraped it but i felt sorry for it and returned back to its former glory
I always liked them from my youth and never owned one.
Ive had the graphics made for the bottom of the doors now so looks alot better with them on.

Ive got a euro box to missed it off as there a bit boaring when you go down the road you seem to see another ten that look the same theres one theres another
Vectra looks a bit different what few mods you done? diesel or petrol?
At least with the old ones when you drive the chances of another goin the other way are slim

I can't take credit for the Vectra mods - the previous owner did them all.
It's a 1.8VVT petrol it started life as a SRi but since then it's gained:
1 - ECU remap by Courtenay Sport.
2 - 19 x 8 VXR alloys (and some nasty Chinese tyres!)
3 - 2" stainless exhaust with Holden Monaro rear section.
4 - Lowered suspension using Eibach springs.

It loves to rev and makes a nice noise, it's almost as much fun to drive as my old 1840 Rapier.

Amazingly I bought this from the local main dealer but very cheap, I think they were having trouble selling it!

I've got a few jobs to do - the black paint of the wheels and grille is poorly done (with a rattle can) so this needs redoing properly. I've also replaced a few bits of trim - I like a little bit of chrome.

Standard for these 136 or 140 bhp depending on where you read it.
When I talked to Courtenay they said the remap would get 10bhp.
The last owner claims 160bhp, it's been on the dyno but I've don't have the results, but with the exhaust it might be about right, it feels pretty quick. Power seems to arrive in 2 chunks, the first at 3000rpm and the second at 5000rpm. It's certainly quite a bit quicker than the 2003 Vectra 1.8 SRi (120bhp) I had before.

The idea was to buy a 'sensible' car for commuting and visiting customers - it didn't quite work out that way!

Steve - Can you bring the Audi to Shepton next year? I'm on a mission to get more marques at the show as its getting a bit stale.

If you're a member of the owners club you could always organise a club stand?

That would be fine Jason, it's in May isn't it?
Would be nice to get a couple more local Audis involved. I know of a rally replica in Bridgwater and an early car with quad headlamps and rare Kamei body kit or perhaps a UR Turbo would be nice. Will see what i can do.Feel free to drop me any details of the show.

It's a Monaro VXR - really a Holden Special Vehicles GTO with a Vauxhall badge. But it shares a lot of components with the Opel/Vauxhall Omega.

The Ro 80 has an Essex V4 conversion which is a shame. I am going to put it back on the road as is and see what can be done to get more power from the engine.
From the inquiries I have made converting the car would cost nearly as much as what the best rotary engines examples sell for.
