Hi My 64 Rapier kept cutting out ( pump fault) so i fitted a new Diaphragm off E Bay. Eng now runs but spits through the carb when trying to pull away Points capacitor leads distributor cap and coil have now been replaced, carb removed jets clean so replaced still spits in the carb and discharges unburnt fuel out of the exhaust. Help

What kind of carburettor is fitted? Is it the Solex B32 PAIA? If so check the air correction jets, there are two of them. Over the last months I have seen twice with this type of carburettor that one of the air correction jets was spontaneously broken (nearly at the top of them). The result is what you have described.

Regards,

Peter
