You can get a new inlet manifold from Coltec Racing Engines - they own everything that was once Holbay Racing Engines, are based where Holbay started and Richard Coles (the guy that owns Coltec) used to work for Holbay. They know all there is to know about H120 engines. Find them at http://www.coltecracing.com/contact.html They can also supply head gaskets, camshafts, valves, pistons etc.
You can get 4 branch exhaust in stainless from London Stainless/Quick Silver - find them at http://www.quicksilverexhausts.com. Not cheap - I paid £600 15 years ago - but good quality. Sure I've got a good holbay four-branch
Rostyles - Any 60s or 70s Ford 4 stud wheels from Cortina, Capri, Escort will fit. I've seen pictures of Rapiers with Cortina 1600E wheels on. Rapier/H120 rostyles are a slightly different pattern. Early Rapier (Fastback) wheels are 4.5Jx13, H120 and later Rapier are 5Jx13. I think you might be able to get 6Jx13 Ford wheels. I'm about 90% certain that MG (and Triumph) wheels are a different stud spacing and will not fit, and 100% certain that Vauxhall wheels (they also had rostyle) will not fit. I'd say you're correct: Ford is deffo an option. I had a Holbay with Lotus Cortina plain wheels.
Screen - They look similar to a Hillman Hunter but the part numbers are different - so I don't know if they fit. Rapier front screens can sometimes be found new - try the windscreen replacment places. Hunter/Minx screens are smaller, not by much, but wnough to matter! Thus Hunter/Minx screen ubbers don't fit either. Prob got a laminated screen tucked away!
Carpet - Have a look around, you might find someone local that can make them. There's three professional upholsterers within 4 miles of where I live - so you might be pleasantly surprised.
Yes, transmission tunnel always a bit tricky though! |

Posted - 08 Sep 2010 : 19:39:43 Not sure what you mean by "dash top pad" but they are quite a few interior colours - the '72 parts book lists 8 colours - but black is probably the most common.
Do you have a wooden dash with a vinyl pad on the top, or is all black vinyl with a plastic instrument panel? |

Posted - 03 Sep 2010 : 15:41:24 Hi Andy, Jason is right the best place to start is always Glen, he is always getting things, he told me he was up in Inveness geting spare parts recently - if you are a club member parts are cheaper and if he hasn't got something he often knows someone who does, Regards Etc

Posted - 02 Sep 2010 : 20:06:45 Hi Andy,
Slim chance I might have the bootlid... I had one in my dads garage about 20 years ago so unless he cleared it then may be in luck. I will probably see him next week sometime.

Not sure how much you already know about fastbacks, but some of the items you need are pretty rare.
Your best bet in the first instance is to get in touch with Glen aka bigt80 (fastback spares secretary) and see if he can help.
Failing that here's a few pointers;
Webers & manifold - Whilst you can buy new carbs there are plenty of used WeberDCOE40 on eBay. They are fitted to quite a few cars so even if you can't find any off an H120/Hunter GLS you can have them re-jetted to suit. Here's and example of carbs and the inlet manifold;
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200512273471&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Inlet-manifold-2-x-40DCOE-DHLA-Holbay-Hillman-Sunbeam-/170534218942?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27b4a1acbe
Manifold - Good luck with this one, you may have to have one fabricated out of stainless steel.
Bootlid - Good luck with this one too!
Roll cage - No idea!
Rostyles - Again keep an eye out on ebay although most of them on there are either ford or MGB fitment and not suitable (I think)!!
Carpet - If Glen has nothing, I'd be tempted to buy some suitable carpet off the roll and make some yourself. If you don't like that idea, companies like coverdale carpets can make to order.
Screen - Fastback rapier is based on the rootes arrows series (Hillman Hunter etc) so items like this are easier to find;
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HILLMAN-HUNTER-1966-1976-CLEAR-TOUGHENED-WINDSCREEN-/220663539580?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item336092677c
I may be interested in a trade of some items depending on what you've got
