Hi, Welcome to SROC forum.I don't profess to be an expert but as I'm undertaking a complete restoration of a SIV I can pass on my first hand experiences. Bad points - Rust.Major problems are the front wings(rear edges from A pillar down to cill,top edge along gutter line and around headlights).Inner wings.Outer and inner cills.Rear'chassis'members around spring hangers. Generally anywhere that's steel Good points - mechanicals and interior are pretty robust. The availabilty of parts is good,Alpine West Midlands and Speedy Spares carry good stocks.Pattern part repair panels are available although can be a bit pricey. No doubt other SROC members with greater experience than me shall add to the above. Best of luck with finding a suitable car. Regards John
Hello, I am Gerry Capon from Suffolk. At the momment I am looking at buying a Rapier MKV. Hoping to look at 1 next week. If any one can give me tips as to good and bad point to look out for would be very helpful.
