Yeah I've updated my signature to fastback a while ago but it doesn't backdate!

Regards,

The 'Rapier' name was not used but Rapiers were sold in the US badged as 'Alpine GT' - I've only seen one. Same as a Rapier but with smog control carburettors and little more chrome trim.

Not really a Mk6, the original Rapiers go from Series 1 to Series 5 so Jim is referring to the 'Fastback' type built from 67 to 76.

Hi there, Thanks for your posting & welcome. We hope there will be some more members on the forum Whilst we've had a web site for 12 or more years, this version has only gone live last week. We lost the forum for a while, but we hope people will return soon! Hopefully the club can help you source some parts, but postage is of course expensive from UK. Have a look down the spares list! We do sell to non-members, but prices higher by about 30%, so may be worth you joining? . Interesting find there: I have a LHD model that never made it out of the country; that too had not been started for 33years, but did fire up with minimal work & some new fuel: blew the exhaust apart tho! .
Once again welcome to the forum.
BigT80.

Hey,

Just curious if anybody uses this forum? I live in the United States and have a 1970 rapier I recently pulled out of a salvage yard to restore. It's a complete car, had been sitting for 20 years, but it only took 30 minutes to get running. Still, I don't know where to find parts, resources, etc.
