Hi all, Does anyone have or can point me in the direction of the center/front section of the exhaust system for my H120? Alternatively what are the prices like for the stainless steel full systems? |

Hello Jon, Welcome to Rapier ownership & the forum. The club has some mild steel ctr sections - joining from 4 -branch outlet to tail pipe - I am going to stores later in the month & can dig one out for you. Not sure if you're a club member (you get c. 30% off) but price is around £80. Hope that helps. I see you have another post, will take a look at that now. G |

Thats excellent Glen thanks. I've just printed the membership form out to fill in so put my name on one of those please unless you have any leads on a super priced stainless system?

Club went for getting mild steel done, although what are left are NOS parts. Without the 4-branch I would say system would be in the order of £200/£250 in stainless, but I've found baffles & welds go unless you get a good quality one, so not always a last for ever upgrade. G |

OK thats fine I think we'll go for the m.s. centre you have in stock for speed and efficiency. I've just done the membership ready to go in the post so if you can let me know about payment & postage etc that will be great. Many thanks |

Hi Jon, pleased to hear you have joined the exclusive H120 owners club! I did post a little while ago enquiring about the level of interest in stainless steel exhausts and there were a few bites but nothing came of it. If you look it up it had cost information on it. One other exhaust related issue worth considering is ceramic coating the manifold. It helps to keep temperatures down under the bonnet and helps to prevent fuel vaporisation. If you want to know more look at www.zircotec.co.uk

Thanks Jason, had a look at your old thread but can't find a company called IIRC, I assume that was the company you talked to, maybe they're not around any more? You have got me thinking though, a twin pipe stainless system all the way through would look pretty damn good, who is it said they had one made?? |

The company I spoke to does still exist, so I could always re-visit.
It was Dave Boulton who had a twin exit system made for his Alpine when he still owned it, see here;

Thanks Jason. I was thinking about twin pipes all the way back from the manifold and loosing the 2 into 1 but am now thinking that could be a bad idea. I'm sure I remember reading the Holbay was fitted with a tuned length system (just the manifold maybe?) which if true could mean mucking with it would make things worse? David Atherton says he's done this so need to query with him. |

Quick update, had a made to measure stainless system fitted on Monday by a local specialist. They did a 2" single pipe all the way through with custom made straight through boxes in the design of the originals. Twin upswept tail pipes finish it off nicely and really look the part. She now sounds like a proper 70's gt car with a lovely burble and even better the engine seems to be breathing easier and has a bit more poke. All in all I'm a very happy boy and can strongly recommend K M Exhausts from Friskney in Lincolnshire. If anyone wants to look them up they have a facebook page at www.facebook.com/KMExhaustsLtd

Good idea

The picture looking back showing the 2 boxes makes them look really dodgy, I think it must be reflections as they actually look really well made.
