Is this the right sort of money for an H120 in that condition? The roof looks like it would be quite hard to repair.

Hello Jim, I suppose it depends how badly you want one and how much you are prepared to pay to persuade the owner to part with it, you have to remember the rarity of it as regards how many were made and how many are left. When I was looking for a good fastback (it didn,t have to be a H120) I soon realised that price guides such as practical classics were way off the mark. I had a budget and if the car was cheaper than that it meant that I could spend the remainder on it. I think that with this one at £2500 and say a £1000 spent on it you would have a very very good car for three and a half grand which is a lot less than the last two H120's (including mine) which were sold through the club went for. I did see one standard car for sale in a mag a couple of years ago - it did appear to be in great shape but the dealer wanted £5750 for it which was beyond my budget but as they say you get what you pay for, best of luck with your search - something will come up Regards
