Stella,

I'm only going by personal experience: A car I had exhibited similar symptoms. I hadn't worked on the car beforehand though, it was just down to wear and tear.

Don't ignore it like I did. Mine expoded as I overtook a milk float and the unencumbered prop shaft wrote off the brake and fuel lines and ploughed a furrow into the tarmac!

What fun you have when you're young!

Hi Mike

Clive is off to the workshop to check this out...

We have only noticed the noise since he changed the clutch... does this shed any light in the darkness.... ???

Sounds like a UJ problem

Hi there..

I have some play in the Differential of my Series V..

which means that, when driving slowly in traffic, alternating between accelerator and brake there is a clunking sound.

There appears to be between 1/4 and 1/2 inch slack between the propshaft and driveshafts.

Anyone dealt with this problem before... any advice... ???

thanks

Stella
