On 1725 engines, do they share the same ring gear for auto and manual?

Both have inertia starters.

The 1972 parts book lists both as 1238557 (though the manual one is superseded by 755221811).

I've no personal experience of this but it looks like - yes.

Thank you, I know longer own this, it was sold many years back.

I built this from a bare shell with a Pinto/5 speed conversion and a change to rack & pinion steering around 1992.
