Hi all.... been working on sorting out the engine on the Black Rapier and decided to take the windscreen out as the rubber seal has perished badly particularly in the lower corners. Removed the glass and the remains of whatever metal was left came out stuck to the black goo on the seal in both lower corners. Further investigation with a screwdriver blade took out more frail metal leaving holes about an inch wide and 8" long n/s and maybe 4" o/s.

Is anyone on here breaking any fastbacks that might provide the required pieces to weld back into place? I will get some pics up by tomorrow (didn't have my phone with me at the time) so as to show exactly what the damage is but we are talking about the front scuttle that is spot welded to the top of the bulkhead panel behind the rubber seal and forms a channel for the rubber to rest in.

Reward offered for the replacement pieces.

Building the 'Mark II' fastback Rapier ('Arrocuda').

unfortunately few people have put aside fastbacks, if you find one it is best to nab all spares as it will inevitably be gone soon. maybe you could find a spares car?
